About Happell Tune Psychology

Both Rod and Merryn are registered psychologists with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and members of the Australian Association of Psychologists Incorporated (AAPI).

Merryn and Rod are not just partner's in business - they're partners in life. As parents to three teenage boys, they understand first hand how complex it can be to balance relationships, work, parenting, and personal wellbeing.

Seeking support can feel daunting. That's why Happell Tune Psychology aims to create a space that feels warm and safe - where judgement is left at the door and you can feel heard, respected and understood.

Merryn Tune

Psychologist

Merryn has worked as a psychologist and therapist for over 20 years, bringing together warmth, empathy and a down-to-earth style. Merryn has a genuine passion for helping people understand what gets in the way of living with greater ease and connection. She specialises in supporting both individuals and couples, particularly those navigating relationship challenges, emotional distress, and major life transitions. Her work focuses on:    •    Relationship and communication difficulties    •    Anxiety, depression and burnout    •    Emotional regulation and self-understanding    •    Patterns in relationships and attachment    •    Personal growth and resilience.  Merryn works with individuals and couples of all backgrounds, including heterosexual and same-sex couples, friendships, sibling relationships, and adult parent-child relationships. She draws on a range of therapeutic approaches, with a strong psychodynamic foundation, and believes our early experiences and family stories shape how we relate to ourselves and others. Therapy with Merryn is thoughtful, supportive and deeply collaborative.
