Relationship Tune Up

Pilot Program 

Most couples were never taught how to navigate conflict, attachment, communication and repair. This 6 week program is designed to help couples understand their patterns earlier - before resentment and disconnection become entrenched.

6 week on-line program for couples 

This program combines relationship education, guided reflection and practical relationship skills. 

It is ideal for couples who want to strengthen their relationship before patterns become entrenched. 

It is not designed to replace couples therapy where there is significant distress, trauma, addiction, violence or relationship crisis. 

Week 1

Understanding your relationship story
How did we become the people we are in relationships?

  • Family of origin influences 

  • Early relationship experiences 

  • Emotional safety and trust 

  • Understanding your unique relationship story 

  • Identifying strengths and vulnerabilities

Outcome: Greater self awareness and understanding of your partner's experience 

Week 2

Attachment and Emotional Safety - 
Why do we react the way we do? 

  • Attachment styles

  • Pursuing, withdrawing and protecting

  • Emotional needs in relationships

  • Recognising triggers

  • Creating emotional safety

Outcome: Better understanding of what drives conflict and disconnection 

Week 3

  • Conflict Styles

  • Escalation cycles

  • Protective behaviours and defences 

  • Fight, flight, freeze and fawn responses

  • Breaking unhelpful patterns

Understanding Conflict Patterns -
Why do we keep having the same arguments

Outcome: Greater awareness of recurring conflict cycles and how to interrupt them.

Week 4

Repair and Reconnection 
What do healthy couples do after conflict?

  • The importance of repair

  • Accountability and responsibility 

  • Effective apologies 

  • Emotional responsiveness

  • Rebuilding connection after disagreements

Outcome: Practicial skills for repairing ruptures and strengthening trust

Week 5

Deepening Connection and Intimacy
How do we stay connected amidst busy lives?

  • Friendship and emotional connection

  • Feeling seen, heard and valued

  • Love languages and expressions of care

  • Creating moment of connection 

  • Strengthening friendship within the relationship

Outcome: Increased emotional closeness and connection 

Week 6

Creating the Relationship you want 
Where do we go from here? 

  • Shared values and relationship vision 

  • Intentional relationship habits 

  • Connection rituals 

  • Maintaining growth and momentum 

  • Planning for future challenges 

Outcome: A personalised roadmap from maintaining a healthy, connected relationship. 

By the end of the program couples will: 
  • Understand their relationship patterns
  • Learn practical communication and repair skills 
  • Increase emotional safety and connection 
  • Develop healthier ways of managing conflict 
  • Create a shared vision for their relationship moving forward

$397 per couple

  • Six weekly live online sessions via zoom (90 mins each)

  • Participant workbook

  • Practical exercises and relationship tools 

  • Access to session recordings

  • Total of 9 hours of psychologist-led learning
